KNITTING PEACE
Knitting Peace is a philosophical universe, filled with physical poetry of yarn, tangles, and straight lines where artists, musicians and technicians strive to knit their way to peace. When Tilde 2012 was part of a research group with scientists from various fields to explore the question "What is the meaning of life," the conclusion was that it is striving. During the same time Tilde followed a group of women who gathered outside the UN headquarters to knit for peace. This two events was the starting point for the performance Knitting Peace, which has become one of Cirkus Cirkörs most iconic circus shows and continues to tour the world, engaging new audiences and peace knitters 12 years later.
Knitting Peace is available for bookings 2025 onwards. For more information and bookings of performances in France contact: www.quartierlibre.fr . For the rest of the world contact: Irene.ramilli@cirkor.se.
